GiveGrove Updates: July 2026

We're rolling into the back half of summer with a batch of new platform updates we're excited to share. The most visible one: we've overhauled the item and ticket forms across GiveGrove. They're now consistent everywhere, the fields you need are right up top, and they accept more input formats than before. All of these are to help you build items faster.

That's just the start. Here's everything new this release.

The Updates

🎟️ Live Auction & check-in

See the card on file at check-in. During Live Auction check-in, donors can now see which card is already on file, so you can move people through the line faster and with fewer surprises. If it’s outdate, they get a prompt to update the card before continuing.

More reliable card-on-file payments. We updated check-in card handling to use Stripe's latest payments technology, making saved-card charges more dependable on event night.

📝 Item & ticket setup

Cleaner item and ticket forms. We reorganized the forms so required fields come first, and rolled in four smaller fixes to make setup faster and less error-prone.

Type dollar amounts naturally. You can now enter values with dollar signs and commas (like $1,500) directly on item forms. GiveGrove handles the formatting for you.

Ticket images stay put. Editing a ticket no longer accidentally removes its image when you weren't changing the image at all. We also updated the default images to for ticketing to make it more clear if it’s a single ticket or a ticket package.

💸 Bidding & sign-up

Outbid texts take bidders straight to the item. When a supporter gets an outbid alert, tapping it now opens the exact item they were outbid on, making it effortless to jump back in and bid again.

Smoother phone sign-up. We fixed an issue where signing up by phone could wipe out an email or phone number a supporter had already typed. Their info now sticks.

🔒 Account security & other updates

Bank account change alerts. Your organization (and GiveGrove) now gets an email alert any time its connected bank account is changed. We want to make sure that you information is safe and this additional heads up will allow us and you to make sure your information is safe.

We also improved marketing attribution (capturing how supporters found your event from the moment they arrive) and updated our deployment tooling to keep GiveGrove fast, stable, and secure.

Planning for the Fall?

GiveGrove wants to grow and help more organizations. We are working on better marketing and making it easier for new users to experiment with GiveGrove before creating their first event. Our next major update will allow users to create a new event without creating an account. This exploration allows us to play with the idea of allowing all users to not have an account to donate.
