GiveGrove Updates: May 2026
May is one of our busiest fundraising months of the year. We had 21 events, including several first-time events / organizations. Welcome to everyone joining us for the first time, and thank you to everyone who continues to trust GiveGrove with your fundraisers.
With so many events running simultaneously, our team stays focused on keeping the platform stable and your events on track rather than pushing major updates mid-season. That said, we did find time for something new: we hosted our first-ever Silent Auction Webinar this month! Attendance was great and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Thank you to everyone who joined us. If you missed it, be sure to check out the details on our next webinar, covering the Live Auction module, below.
If you had an event in the month of May and have thoughts about our service, please consider taking a few minutes to give us feedback! Feedback helps us grow and market!
New login flow, smarter auction defaults, and more.
A Refreshed Login & Signup Experience
We've redesigned the sign-in and sign-up flow to be faster, cleaner, and more consistent across devices. Whether donors are checking in for the first time or admins are logging into the dashboard, the experience now feels polished from the very first screen.
Modernized UI for login and signup
Improved mobile experience — fewer steps, less friction
Consistent branding and layout from landing page to dashboard
Additional Updates & Improvements
🛡️ SILENT AUCTION: Anti-Sniping Is Now On by Default
Anti-sniping automatically extends bidding when a last-minute bid comes in, protecting your auction from a single rushed bid at the very end. This feature has always been available, but we've turned it on by default so every auction starts with the best protection built in.
Bidding windows automatically extend when bids arrive in the final minutes
No setup required — works out of the box for every new event
Can still be adjusted in auction settings if needed
📸 MEDIA: Upload iPhone Photos Directly
GiveGrove now accepts HEIC and HEIF image files. The default format for photos taken on iPhone. No more converting your photos before uploading auction items or event images.
Drag-and-drop or upload HEIC/HEIF files from your phone or desktop
Converts automatically — donors see standard web-friendly images
Works across item images, event banners, and media uploads
📊 ANALYTICS: Building Better Insights
We've made improvements to how GiveGrove tracks donor activity behind the scenes by connecting more of the dots between how donors find your event and what they do once they arrive. We're excited to share more about what this unlocks for your reporting in the months ahead.
Improved attribution so you can see which links and campaigns drive donations
UTM parameter support for orgs using email or social campaigns
Lays the groundwork for smarter event performance reporting coming soon
Planning for the Fall?
We know that planning a fundraiser is not something done on a whimsy. If you want to get a headstart on your event, get the QR code ready for your flyers, or just want to experiment with design options, feel free to create your event now or please help refer us to other new organizations. We are working on outreach but the best onboarding is referral.
Next Webinar: Live Auction
I’ve started working on the next Webinar reviewing our Live Auction data! This webinar will be shorter than the first one and will focus more on “Is a Live Auction right for you?, What successful organizations do for Live Auctions, and Trends that we see from the most successful Live Auction events.”
Save the Date: Thursday, June 25th, 10am and Noon Eastern.
Since we have time, if neither of those times work for you, let me know and if we get enough interest, I’ll host an evening session again. After Live Auction, We’ll go into Ticketing and Voting, and the AI / Research, and Nonprofit Design for future topics. If there is another topic you want us to cover, let us know at David@givegrove.com
As always, we appreciate your trust. Many of these updates come directly from conversations with organizations like yours. If you have questions or would like a quick walkthrough of any new features, feel free to reach out to our team.
Thank you for being part of the GiveGrove community & thanks for trusting GiveGrove with your fundraisers!
