How does the GiveGrove GiveBack Program work?

With the GiveGrove GiveBack Program, the platform is completely free for organizations to use. Nonprofits can create a professional-looking event website, add auction items, accept donations, and more at no cost. At checkout, GiveGrove asks donors if they would like to leave a voluntary suggested tip. When a donor chooses to tip, GiveGrove shares a portion of that tip back with the host organization as a GiveBack. GiveBack funds are automatically deposited into your bank account every two business days along with your regular payouts.

How does GiveGrove Classic work?

With GiveGrove Classic, you don't pay a dime until you raise money. GiveGrove charges 4% of donations that pass through the platform. Once your event hits $100,000 raised, the fee stops — meaning the maximum fee you'll ever pay is $4,000 per event. You can ask or require donors to cover fees, and GiveGrove has an average donor fee cover rate of 85–90%.

How long does it take to set up an event?

A few minutes. Nonprofits can set up an event in GiveGrove as a demo event or a live event within minutes.

What information do I need to create an event?

You'll need the name of your organization, your bank account information, and the details about your event like the start date and time as well as the event name. That's it.

What will it cost me to use GiveGrove?

GiveGrove's fee is 4% of any transaction that goes through the platform with GiveGrove Classic — so there's no cost to create your event or demo the system. There are no contracts. GiveGrove also gives organizations the ability to ask donors to optionally or require covering the fees, meaning the event can cost an organization nothing. GiveGrove caps its fee at $4,000 per event, after which the fee is set to 0%. The GiveBack Guarantee™ model allows organizations to use the platform at no cost through optional donor tips.

What donor data do I get from my events?

You get the donor's name, email, phone, what item they purchased or donated to, whether they covered fees, and the net amount they paid along with a breakdown of fees and the net to your organization. GiveGrove also shares when that transaction was paid out to your organization with a date and timestamp.

What does GiveGrove do with donor data?

Nothing. Donor information is yours and yours alone. GiveGrove never uses or sells donor data. Organizations always have access to past events and any reports associated with their account.

Are there contracts to use GiveGrove?

There are no contracts to use GiveGrove.

What are the communication features in GiveGrove?

Every event has a text blast feature where you can communicate with donors who have opted in to receive communication from your organization. You also receive an export of everyone's phone and email which you can upload to your email client or CRM to communicate with guests.

What does night-of support look like from GiveGrove?

What do I receive from GiveGrove after my event?

After every event, you'll receive an email overview showing how your event performed, including the total net to your organization, how many donors covered fees, and your actual cost to use the platform.

In March, our team has continued working on improvements that make event management smoother for your staff and more seamless for your donors.

⭐ Feature Highlight: Check-in & Table Assignment Enhancements

We’ve made updates to the check-in experience to help your team welcome guests faster and manage seating more efficiently. These enhancements are designed to reduce lines, improve visibility for staff, and streamline the overall event-day workflow.

You can now see table assignments when you “check-in” a guest on the ticketing module. Your check-in table can also assign offline paddles or send guests the link to your event so they can get their own paddle number. Test it out and let us know what you think!

⭐ Feature Highlight: Facebook Sharing Improvements

We have removed Google Authentication requirements when donors access GiveGrove links through Facebook. This means you can confidently share your event links on Facebook, and donors will now be able to complete payments without authentication issues inside the Facebook browser.
